Fiberglass Outdoor Planters For Style, Economy and Resilience
Also: Garden Planters, Outdoor Planters, Outdoor Wall Planters, Large Outdoor Planters
The use of fiberglass in garden decor is a quite modern development, but a welcome one nonetheless. While the purist may say garden statues and planters should be made from stone, and a modern purist may say they should at least be made of concrete, the use of fiberglass planters has become widely accepted by those who appreciate its special qualities.

Fiberglass, like fiberstone, makes for a very effective alternative to concrete for garden decor such as planters, statues and ornaments. With its durability, strength and lighter than concrete weight, plus the modern ability to apply a variety of authentic looking finishes, fiberglass is used in many outside planters.
Looking at the garden planters pictured, you would not think they were made of fiberglass.
Yet, they are. The first is a very large rectangular planter, with a garland decoration. Measuring about 6ft in length, it gives much scope for creative and decorative planting.
The second planter, left, is a classic flower pot shape, but quite a large planter at 2ft or so across and 18 inches high. This fiberglass planter is adorned with fruit for decoration, and is an attractive piece of garden decor as well as practical planter.

The final picture is of a very well adorned planter, and shows off how fiberglass can be used to mimic carved stone. This is called Della Robbia, and would be delightful on any patio or garden nook, even without planting.
