Using Wood Planters Indoors as Home Decor
Natural wooden planters can be amongst the most attractive, and fit naturally into most garden settings. But what about indoors? Wood looks good in the home, and is widely used for floor, furniture, staircases and many other home decor items. Planters and plant stands are no exception, although you may find that the majority of wooden planters are designed and made with garden use in mind.
It is possible to find planters, though, that have been intentionally designed for use inside the home. This means that you can seek out wooden planters in shades, sizes and shapes that suit your interior decor.
Do not neglect the outdoor planters, especially if you have a spacious home where large planters can fit in without overwhelming your home space. Also, if you like the look of an outdoor planter, and have space for it, but it is the wrong shade, then think about re-varnishing in a new tone that will match the decor.

Where can you put indoor planters? Well, anywhere you like, really, it is your home. But for them to be at their best and to have the best impact, plan carefully before you spend your money, and also try to decide the plants you will use the planters for; or at least, the type of plants you will display.
Personally, I think one of the best places to have planters inside the home is in the entrance hall, but that only really applies with a large area of hall to make use of. Entering an immediately cluttered home is not welcome, it can be rather off putting, even for those who like plants and flowers.
As you see can from the planters shown above, there are some attractive wooden planters around. These display different wood colors and planter shapes, and show the versatility of wood in adding to your home decor. Of these three pictured (courtesy of Simply Planters), two are made for indoor use, the other for outdoors. Can you guess which one was intended for outdoors? It does not matter, they will look good indoors to.
