Wall Planters
Also: Outdoor Planters, Garden Planters, Small Concrete Planters
One of the most attractive features of English country cottages and many European houses, especially around the Mediterranean, is the way that wall planters are used. With a colourful display of geraniums, foliage and other trailing plants, they really bring houses alive in the summer. Whether in window boxes, or other types of wall containers, flowers on the outside of a house are an absolutel delight.
Wall planters need not be confined to window sills and house walls, althought the lintel planter shown left is particularly suited to a house exterior. Many planters intended to be attached to a wall can also be used on garden walls to good effect, adding another dimension to a walled garden.
The second picture shows a planter that would look good on most walls, especially as it is available in 9 finishes and colour tones. This wall planter has a classic Mediterranean look, and made in from a fiberstone mix.
With an even more classical appearance is the Shelf planter (left). This has an ornate appearance that would go well on an older cottage or classically styled building. Even without plants, it is an attractive piece of garden decor. Add in a few trailing fuschias and geraniums, and you have a summer delight.
The final picture is of a more upright wall planter called Starburst. This unique planter has a rustic look to it that would look good on lodges and cabins, as well as country cottages.
Fortunately, you will find a large number and variety of wall planters on the market that will enable you to choose only lanters that match your home, your garden and other decor, so that when not covered in flowers and plants, they still add something to your home and garden environment.
